Hard to believe that the quote used for the title of this blog was said by Benjamin Franklin more than 200 years ago. Very relevant to today’s business environment, it’s just one of the many quotes that you can find relating to change.
Is Success Based on Change?
More than 2,000 years ago, Greek philosopher Socrates said “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new!” Fast forward to the 20th century. Winston Churchill said “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.” In the words of John F. Kennedy, “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.”
What are all these quotes saying? That change is an integral part of both growth and success. Without change, we stagnate and die. And let’s face it – no matter how much we may fear change, the world-shattering changes of the last few weeks from the COVID 19 pandemic is forcing us all to readdress and change the way we do business.
